Looking for a New Direction in Life?

Considering a job change? Going back to school? Thinking you might need both?

Career Counseling

When exploring a new career or job change, more factors need to be considered than just salary expectations.  Successfully matching your interests, skills and goals to a career also takes awareness of your values, talents, interests, challenges, and skills.  Taking the time and energy to explore and research before making a career decision could mean saving you a great deal of money in training and education, as well as heartache, disappointment and injured self-esteem.

Academic Counseling

Whether you are interested in vocational training, an associates degree, bachelors degree or higher; the world of higher education can be confusing, overwhelming and expensive.  You need to know to whom to turn and trust with this important investment in your future.

I have worked with college students providing counseling, advising and learning assistance for nearly 15 years; supporting students from entry level community college students to masters and doctoral level students.

But, if colleges and universities have advising and counseling services, why should you hire someone outside the institution you attend?  Because my only motive is to help you reach your goals.  My job is to help you explore your needs, wants, talents and challenges, and assist you in making a match between you and your educational and career direction.

Higher education includes for-profit and non-profit institutions of various quality -- and motives -- when it comes to attracting and retaining students.  Unlike admission and academic advisors employed by an academic institution, your future and satisfaction is my only concern.
